Note: Make secure that no one Turn ON the mower while you are working secure the keys, in case of gasoline or petrol mower disconnect the spark plug if it is easy to disconnect and not sealed inside the mower.

METHOD 1: USE OF OIL AND MALLET

After ensuring these safety tips and upon the availability of tools start working and follow these steps:

STEP 1: PARK THE MOWER IN A STRAIGHT AND DRY PLACE ON YOUR LAWN

Firstly, you need to park the mower in a suitable place you don’t start work on the slopes and dis-balance place so that you do not get injured during work. Always park the mower in the plane, clean, and dry place in your lawn.

STEP 2: LIFT THE MOWER FOR REMOVING THE WHEEL

Secondly, lift the mower by using a hydraulic jack at a suitable height to remove the wheel. Be careful while lifting the mower and fit the jack correctly so that your mower does not come down or disbalance and make you injured.

STEP 3: REMOVE THE HUBCAP AND BOLTS

After lifting the mower, start removing the hubcap by using a screwdriver, and then start to remove the bolts by using a wrench, lose all the screws equally, and remove and store in a safe place. It is recommended to place the bold in the rubber mat near the working place and place all the removed items there.

STEP 4: SPRAYING AND OILING WHEEL AREA

In a case, your wheel is badly stuck and cannot be removed after opening the bolts, you spray the oil completely in every corner of the wheel shaft and wait for 30 minutes to 1 hour so that the dirt and corrosion debris get weak from the oil spray.

STEP 5: DISMANTLE THE WHEEL BY USING A MALLET

In the last step use a mallet to dismantle and remove the wheel from the shaft. In the start use the mallet with less force in case it’s not removed easily use the mallet hard to dismantle the wheel. After this process, your wheel remove from the shaft.

STEP 6: CLEANING THE SHAFT AND WHEEL FROM INSIDE

In the last, start cleaning and removing dirt and corrosion debris from the shaft and inside the wheel. Check the bearing condition if you noticed a defective bearing you can change the wheel bearing. In case the tyre is punctured you may fix the puncture by visiting the near puncture shop.

After cleaning thoroughly again fit the wheel in the shaft and hence your wheel stuck problem gets solved easily at home.

METHOD II: USE OF HEAT AND WAX TO REMOVE THE STUCK LAWNMOWER WHEEL

In addition to the method, as mentioned earlier, you may try the heat and wax method for removing the stuck lawnmower wheel. Follow these steps to remove the stuck wheel using the wax and heat method:

STEP 1: APPLY WAX

The first step is to apply wax to the rim and axle of the stuck wheel. Before applying wax, it is mandatory to clear the dirt and mud debris from the rim and axle using some fabric. Additionally, use latex gloves to avoid any allergy before applying wax using your hands. Apply the wax to the whole rim and axle.

STEP 2: HEAT UP THE RIM AND AXEL

In the second step, use the propane torch to heat the rim and axle of the stuck wheel. Apply the heat gently so that the wax is thinner because of heat and penetrates inside smaller gaps, and helps to remove the stuck wheel. Heat the rim and axle carefully. Do not apply too much heat so that it cannot damage the axle and rim of your lawnmower.

STEP 3: REMOVE THE WHEEL

In the third step, after cooling down the heated rim and axle, use the force back and forth, and your stuck wheel will be removed easily. You may use a mallet as described in the first method, and the wheel becomes loose and removed easily.
